Care of Your Furniture

Congratulations on buying some great café furniture from us. To keep your furniture looking as good as when you first purchased it, all you need do is follow a few guidelines.

Regular inspections

The best way to nip any problems in the bud is by carrying out a weekly check of your furniture. Pay particular attention to stress points such as welds, joints and swivels to ensure they are strong. Also look out for any screws, bolts or floor glides which may have come adrift.

Regular maintenance

The Australian sun is particularly harsh and leaving anything exposed 24/7 will result in fading, in order to get the best results from your furniture your should keep it under cover. Left to the elements everything no matter the quality will fade especially bright colours such as red, orange and yellow etc. UV treatments will only slow the fading process not eliminate it so please take care of your new furniture.

Grease any moving points if necessary and tighten up any loose bolts or screws. In the event that you require any replacement parts then we recommend that you only use original spares since you may invalidate your warranty by using a non-original spare.

If you see any signs of wear or tear then contact us

Should your furniture be showing signs of fatigue, then its important to take it out of service. As soon as you’ve done this get in touch with us right away. If you continue to use the faulty product then not only are your customers at risk of injury, but you could also invalidate your warranty.

Our Furniture Warranties

All of our furniture is supplied with a warranty from the manufacturer although the length varies from one brand to another. For example, our range of Premium Cafe Chairs, as well as the Specta  chairs are accompanied by a 3 year manufacturers guarantee against defective workmanship.

Our extensive range of Werzalit table tops come with a 2 year guarantee whereas all our other products have a 1 year guarantee. Whatever length of warranty your piece of furniture comes with,  the proviso is that the furniture has been used as it was intended for the duration.

While Werzalit and Isotop table tops are weather resistant, they are not made to always be left outside. Being in the weather all of the time weakens the top and can cause the corners and edges to split and/or crack. Leaving your tables outside all of the time will void your warranty.

Under the terms of the warranty, Cafe Furniture Brisbane reserve the right to either repair or replace the defective item in accordance with the above. This is at no cost to the customer provided the item is returned pre-paid as stated in our terms of business.


Unless the customer has inspected the goods and given written notice to us within two (2) business days of delivery that the goods do not comply with the relevant specifications or descriptions, the goods shall be deemed to have been accepted in good order and condition and no claim for credit, non-delivery, refund, exchange or repair of goods shall be accepted unless notification is made within two (2) days in writing to us.

In the event that we accept the return of goods for credit, the customer remains liable for the costs of re-delivering the goods to the warehouse and shall be liable to pay us such costs. If your item is faulty (this includes items damaged in transit), we are happy to refund the purchase price of the item less any freight costs incurred by us. Should you choose to receive a replacement, you will be required to send the item back to us and you are responsible for the cost of the freight for the replacement item.

In the event that we otherwise accepts the return of goods for credit, refund or exchange, such credit will endure for a maximum of twelve (12) months from the date of first sale to the customer of the returned goods and any such return will be liable to a re-stocking fee being not less than 25% of the invoice value of the goods.

Under the guarantee the customer will not be liable at any time for anything other than the cost of the item. We retain the right to use the services of an independent party inspector at our factory premises, as we see fit, to ascertain the cause of the fault. As soon as we have the findings of the tests, the customer will be informed.

Any furniture that has been misused, suffered neglect or abuse, or been repaired or altered in such a way that affects its original and intended use, will not be covered under warranty. In addition, any furniture found to have been in direct contact with harsh abrasives, incorrect cleaning materials or acidic agents will also not be covered.

Table tops are not made to be stacked on top of each other, upside down, at the end of the day for storing. This can lead to damage of the table tops, which can include scratches or the rubbing off of a pattern. If tables are believed to be being stored in such a way, all warranty claims on table tops will be void.

We also reserve the right to make design, specification, material, colour, dimension or price changes at any time and without prior notice. This is without the need to make comparable revisions to products which have been manufactured at an earlier date.

Costs of field repairs carried out by non-certified, pre-approved personnel may be reimbursed, but only if notified before any repair work is carried out.

Warranties do not include upholstery. This is irrespective of whether it’s provided by us or is the customer’s own material. However many fabric mills do offer their own specific warranties should anything arise.

We always make sure that for your convenience all table bases are provided with universal-sized screws for attaching to table tops. Care needs to be taken when attaching the two because if the screws accidentally pierce the table top, then this is not covered by the warranty.

Our Price Match Guarantee

Here at Cafe Furniture Brisbane we’re proud to offer products at the best prices you can find anywhere. This is something that is really important to us. For this reason, we offer all our customers a price match guarantee. This means that if you can find the product cheaper anywhere else, then we’ll match that price. It’s as simple as that!

All products must be equal to or similar in quality

We’re more than happy to price match any product provided that the item found is either of equal or similar quality both in terms of materials used and workmanship.

Price matching does not include sale prices

In order for a price match to take place the comparing item has to be at a standard sale price and not discounted or specially offered in any way.

All quotes must be in writing

All competitive quotes must be given in writing from them and be valid within the last 7 days

No Credit or COD's

Unfortunately we are not able at this time to give credit or COD’s. However, our flexible payment options include cash, most major credit cards and company or bank cheques.


Customers should be aware that although our website tries to depict as accurate a colour as possible, on some occasions colours will differ in appearance when viewed in the flesh. This is because viewer monitors and operating systems can be different, resulting in a slight variation of colour when viewed.
